In October 2015, Sensei Alan Evans 3rd Dan took over as Senior Instructor of Brentwood Ishinryu Karate.

Alan was Junior Ishinryu Kumite Champion and has won bronze Team medals at both the English National Championships and the British Championships, as well as silver Team medals at the English. Alan has also won Team golds at the Southern Regions, Toyakwai and Central England Championship competitions. 

Alan is an Ishinryu Association referee and is qualified in Sports First Aid.

In 2006, after returning from Australia, Sensei Andy Bidder 4th Dan reformed the Brentwood Ishinryu Karate club, and continued to instruct students at Brentwood until 2015.

Andy has been training in karate since 1998 and has excellent competition knowledge and experience up to National level, competing in the UK and in Australia.

In 2015, Sensei Andy moved away from the Brentwood area, and passed on the running of the successful Brentwood Ishinryu Karate club to Sensei Alan Evans.

Sensei Jack Herbert 3rd Dan is a senior club instructor at Brentwood Ishinryu. Jack started training in karate in 1990 at the age of 40, training under Peter Spanton in the style of Higashi.

Jack joined Brentwood Ishinryu in 2010 and is qualified in Sports First Aid.
